BILL ORWIG AWARD

This award recognizes outstanding contributions made by a non-alumnus to the Indiana University athletics program. It is named for Bill Orwig, IU’s athletics director from 1961–75.

Orwig is responsible for the hiring of some of the greatest coaches in all of collegiate sports including: Sam Bell, Lee Corso, Bob Knight, John Pont, and Jerry Yeagley
